Job Description

Would you like to join a team of hard working sales associates in one of Nashville's fastest growing and most exciting industries? Immediate opening for a friendly, efficient manager of a large wine and spirits retail store in the Midtown area of Nashville. Candidates must possess strong customer service and leadership skills in addition to a passion for hard work as part of a friendly and enthusiastic retail sales team. This is an opening for a full-time position and flexible availability is required.

As the store manager, you are responsible for assisting the store management team in maintaining a positive environment that provides fast, efficient, and friendly customer service, ensuring an exemplary experience for both our customers and team members. This position helps supervise cashiers, stock associates, and sales associates, and acts as the Manager-on-duty in the absence of a store manager. The store manager is also directly involved in promoting products and services to our customers and may serve in a team member capacity to support the merchandiser/stock associates and cashiers as needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Supervises sales staff; monitors and appraises employee performance and follows up on work results in a timely and appropriate manner Coordinates and compiles regular online publicity materials (draft weekly newsletter, send weekly wine special emails, update website to reflect current promotions)

Maintains operational order on and within sales floor; must be able to educate patrons and employees regarding product knowledge and industry standards.

Spearheads various special initiatives including inventory/back stock maintenance and in-store merchandising and display projects

Assists customers in a friendly, engaging, and efficient manner and encourages staff members to do the same.

Ensures merchandise availability by maintaining relationships with product manufacturers and responding to current and future customer needs.

REQUIREMENTS

Must possess strong foundation of product knowledge (especially wine)

Excellent communication skills; ideal candidates are familiar with WordPress and/or large-scale email platforms such as Mail Chimp.

Friendly, outgoing, and in possession of strong work ethic.

Previous experience in customer service/retail management necessary.

Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 LBs on a regular basis.

Ability to multitask is very important; ideal candidates are prepared to assist customers on the sales floor while working independently to oversee staff and/or complete special projects.
