Celia Konowe is a graduate student at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, pursuing a Master of Environmental Studies with a focus in marine plastic pollution. Celia earned her Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from the University of Rochester and spent the summer of 2022 interning for the National Parks Conservation Association on the Chesapeake Bay Program, organizing events and aiding in campaign planning for the CNRA. She has also worked as an editorial intern and contributing writer for Marine Technology Reporter, a marine science and tech publication, since the summer of 2020. Additionally, she holds student memberships with the National Press Club, the Society of Environmental Journalists, and the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology.
