Position: Warehouse Associate

Location: Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii

Experience: Previous warehouse experience preferred

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Type: Full-time; Temporary, ASAP – 6 months with possible extension

Schedule: Full-time, Start time as early as 5AM, End time will be dependent on daily workload *schedule flexibility required*

Pay: $16/hour PLUS continuous mentorship and assistance with progressive career placements

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking Warehouse Associates to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Receive incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Check all received freight for damage and count according to company procedures; report damage, shortages, overages, temperature changes and other discrepancies on the shipment manifest to the supervisor.
• Unload containers, inspect cargo for damages, shortages, overage, temperature changes and total pieces on cargo against shipping manifest.
• Off load pallets, properly securing freight on pallets, move freight to the appropriate designated areas of the warehouse, operating forklift as required.
• Weight items received for storage.
• Verify case counts and load freight into containers as manifested according to proper procedures.
• Prepare equipment and vehicles for use; includes regularly checking forklift to ensure it is in operating condition and performing routine inspection of mechanical equipment.
• Perform other related warehouse duties as may be required or assigned.
• Temperature settings on the container should be checked before the trucker takes it out of the yard.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Requires frequent lifting and moving crates, boxes, and working in an environment with fluctuations in temperature.
• Requires learning warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, transferring and receiving products.
• Must follow specific instructions and safety procedures, working to specific routine.
• Requires basic reading, writing, math, and problem solving.
• In addition to being able to fulfill the physical, mental, and communication demands listed above, must be able to follow instructions and safety procedures, including safety rules of forklift operation.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
