LOCATION: preferred location Jacksonville, FL or Philadelphia, PA with working from a home office in the Eastern U.S.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintains accurate and timely processing of monthly accounts payable expenditures including but not limited to document review, vendor set-up and maintenance, governmental reporting, standard invoices, petty cash reimbursements and check generation and distribution.
· Manages accounts payable department and staff including but not limited to overseeing 1099 processing, bill processing, policy and procedure updates, and staff development.
· Ensures that adequate internal controls are communicated and adhered to in all payable processes.
· Reviews and analyzes effectiveness of accounts payable policies and procedures; recommends changes to management.
· Audits delinquent accounts monitors and manages efforts being taken to pay outstanding accounts
· Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective accounts payable processes, policies, and procedures.
· Interfaces with appropriate personnel and managers to obtain information regarding purchases and invoice entry to ensure efficient cost account expenditures.
· Ensures timely and accurate month-end close and reporting.
· Reviews and approves company invoices and expense reports.
· Reconciliation of bank accounts
· Preparation of monthly union reports
· Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) or equivalent
· Two to four years related experience or equivalent
· Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
· Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate subordinates.
