Job Description

This position is mostly remote, with some in-office meetings, seasonal domestic travel for site visits and optional international travel for job fairs.

The responsibilities include:

  • Maintain updated knowledge of Department of State J1 rules and regulations.
  • Vet students and employers for regulation compliance: review and confirm required information and documentation is current and on record.
  • Track expiring documentation and send reminders where current documentation is needed.
  • Track travel information for each student.
  • Send mass emails either for reminders, alerts, or updates.
  • Vet secondary employers and employment opportunities: obtain employment and housing details and confirm submission of required documentation.
  • Update student records with changes in employers, housing, or status.
  • Review check ins and alert supervisors of concerns and complaints.
  • Ensure participant and employer compliance with J1 rules and regulations.
  • Obtain end of season survey analysis of employers and participants for best practices in planning for future partnerships and cooperation.
  • Post and keep current social media content.

Applicants must be detail oriented, knowledgeable and experienced in Microsoft word, excel, social media platforms, and comfortable working with database applications

Bi-lingual is a plus.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
The role is mostly remote and computer oriented. Interactions with students, agents, employers and staff are through phone calls, Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, and Whats App.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Administrative Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
