Job Description

We provide after-school ballroom dance classes for Grades K-3 all around San Francisco Bay Area in elementary schools. Currently searching for instructors to work two or more days per week (between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.) from Monday to Friday during the school year. Previous ballroom experience is required. Covid vaccination proof is a must.

After-School Ballroom Dance Instructor Responsibilities:

  • Manage a class of 8 - 16 students (ages 5-10).
  • Teach the ballroom dance using provided lesson plans.
  • Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to learn more about the program.
  • Transport equipment if needed to and from class. Set up the equipment.
  • Take attendance and sign in and sign out students for class.
  • Interact/provide feedback to parents and interact with school office staff when needed.

Requirements:

  • Must enjoy working with kids and professionally managing a class.
  • Must be flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and has an enthusiastic approach.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must carry a resilient, positive attitude.
  • Must be able to work independently and within a small team.
  • Must have own reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
  • Willing to do a live scan background check before working.

Locations:

  • We provide after-ballroom dance programs in multiple public and private elementary schools located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. We make every effort to only assign schools that are within what you determine to be a reasonable commuting distance.
  • Currently, programs are located in San Jose, Saratoga, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Los Altos, Fremont, and Menlo Park.

Candidates must be readily available and living in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Schedule:

  • Classes are 1 - 1.5 hours long.
  • Start times for classes can vary anywhere between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., depending on the school.
  • Flexible schedule, work two or more days per week from Monday through Friday.

Candidates need to be local to the US or already have a necessary working VISA to work in the US. The employer does not provide any Visa assistance.

The candidate should be fully vaccinated.
