Job Description

  • BS/MS candidate in Engineering (mechanical, civil, or similar field) currently enrolled in college/university and must have at least one semester of school left to complete after the end of the co-op
  • Must be eligible and available for a full-time (40h / week) role for an 8-12 week time period from July-Dec 2023
  • Experience working with CAD software
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

The Technical Transformation (TfX) group within the WW Robotics organization technically advises and leads innovative solutions that ensure cutting edge deployment capabilities that deliver consistent year over year resource efficiency. We are seeking a talented and solutions-oriented Hardware Development Engineer to contribute to delivering transformational innovation to the business.

Your work typically focuses on the design and deployment of complex systems, which includes functional and performance requirements of components critical to system performance.

Key job responsibilities
  • Use point cloud manipulation libraries to automate analysis of as-built laser scan data
  • Use computer modeling and simulation tools to develop as-built models based on point cloud data.
  • Utilize data to develop statistical models for construction accuracies.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to resolve complex issues in effective ways

  • Experience working with Revit or AutoCAD preferred
  • Experience working with point cloud and surveying data
  • Experience programming to automate processes in computer simulation software.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $37.16/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $88.94/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
