Job Description

Casa dei Montessori is a small, close knit, private Montessori school in Bellevue, West Nashville. We have been in operation for 25 years and offer a toddler community for ages 14 mos.-3yrs, a primary classroom for ages 3 to 6 and an elementary classroom for ages 6 to 12 (1st-6th grade).

We are currently looking for a 2nd assistant for our primary classroom.

Hours

8:30-5 (30 minute break)

Monday through Friday

School Year Runs August through May and we offer an 8 week summer program

7 weeks off plus some holidays

Duties

Supporting the children in all aspects of their growth and development, which includes social and emotional as well as physical needs.

In partnership with the other assistant and lead teacher to provide for and ensure child safety, care and well being in our indoor and outdoor environments

Willingness to learn and help implement the Montessori method in all aspects of the classroom.

Collaboration with staff, children and parents/guardians

Requirements

State requires applicant to be at least 21 years of age

Must be willing to be fingerprinted and meet state requirements in doing so

Have the ability to be patient, flexible and have a strong work ethic

Be willing to work outdoors as well as indoors

Understands and applies principles of developmentally appropriate practice

Experience in or knowledge of Montessori Education and Philosophy preferred but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
