This position is full - time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST (Central Standard Time zone) including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business need.

We offer 14 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM CST (Central Standard Time zone) from Monday - Friday. Training hours may vary. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide general claims support by reviewing and processing claims
  • Calculate other insurance and benefits
  • Participate in meetings to share, discuss, and solution for question or error trends, as well as potential process improvements
  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR equivalent years of work experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a related environment (i.e., office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.), using computers as the primary job tools
  • 1+ years of experience with Windows personal computer applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Experience with using Microsoft Word (create, update, and format documents) and Microsoft Excel (create, update, and sort spreadsheets, pivot tables, and data)
  • Ability to commit to 14 weeks of training (attendance is mandatory)
  • Ability to work any full - time 8-hour shift schedule between the hours of 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST (Central Standard Time zone) from Monday - Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends based on business need

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with processing medical, dental, prescription, OR mental health claims
  • Basic understanding of healthcare claims including ICD - 9 and CPT codes

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, Washington, New York, or Rhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / Washington / New York / Rhode Island residents is $16.00 - $27.31.
