Job Description
HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company hire an AVO Shift Supervisor to supervise a team of vehicle operators. You will ensure they understand/execute on both short and long term targets. Shift Supervisors are hands-on with their team, working alongside them on a daily basis. You will lead by example to ensure all software/hardware tests are executed to the company's high standards.
In this role, you'll work closely with other leaders within the fleet operations organization to safely/efficiently drive the day-to-day operations of vehicle fleets. Shift Supervisors are disciplined team players and believe in doing everything it takes to safely accomplish the mission.
As AVO Shift Supervisor, you'll:
- Uphold a safety-centric, inclusive and open communication culture.
- Support vehicle operators in day-to-day operations.
- Complete all administrative tasks with regards to team coordination and schedule validation.
- Conduct written/oral performance feedback with direct reports at regular intervals.
- Become a knowledge expert on company proprietary software related to vehicle operations.
- Motivate and mentor direct reports to execute/deliver to the company's high standards
- Interact with contractors to answer questions, provide information and ensure they understand/execute their job assignments.
- Support missions through a wide variety of roles in and out of vehicles.
- Act as a player and coach.
- Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time by leadership.

- 2+ years of autonomous vehicle operator experience and an active AVT permit

- Strong written/verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members/management and explain technical issues
Preferred Skills:
- 1+ years of experience as a contractor in a vehicle operations role
- 2+ years autonomous vehicle industry or operations experience
- Prior experience as an instructor or lead within an operations team, or equivalent management or leadership experience
- Experience in leading or managing a highly cross-functional team
Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be available to candidates who are local to the Las Vegas, NV area.
