Job Summary:
Accountable for Business Development valuations for Permian land and minerals A&D.

Job Duties:
  • Create and maintain standardized workflows for routine evaluations of A&D land and mineral packages
  • Run economic evaluations for all land evaluation packages using approved subsurface development strategies, pricing framework, Capex and Opex models
  • Develop economic evaluation monitoring report that reconciles A&D deal progress and relative success rate
  • Act as primary POC for land and mineral valuations for SPFD (Strategic Planning Field Development) and Land groups
  • Monitor and report offset land and mineral competitor activity and development strategies
  • Assist Business Development group with transaction evaluation when time allows
  • Internal applicants should meet all eligibility requirements per employee handbook.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3, preferably 3-5+ years, of experience in the oil and gas industry is required
  • Experience in reservoir engineering, business development, and/or economic evaluation is preferred
  • Experience with Economics software (ARIES, Mosaic, Combo Curve, or other commercial packages) is required
  • Proficiency in key land and commercial attributes that influence underlying value of an asset is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access) is required
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools is required (Spotfire is preferred)
  • Proficiency in Data Engineering Software/Languages (Alteryx and SQL) is preferred
  • Candidate should demonstrate following skills on the job
  • Must be comfortable working with tight deadlines and changing business conditions
  • Must foster positive relationships with coworkers outside of immediate team
  • Must be self-motivated, work independently at times and properly prioritize tasks
  • Must be comfortable working with substantial amounts of data and, at times, ambiguous data
  • Must be willing to learn new tools, applications, and concepts as a part of personal development
