Business Development Manager - Dallas/TX.
Alert Patrol is a nationwide company that is looking for a Business Development Manager to grow with us! Candidates should be dynamic, outgoing, driven, and able to get along with all personality types.
The successful candidate should be a self-starter but know when to ask questions while executing assigned tasks completely and accurately. This is a salaried position and compensation will be commensurate with experience, and also INCLUDE an aggressive COMMISSION structure plus the salary.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Business Development Manager tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Prospecting and developing sales relationship with potential clients.
- Focused in maximizing profits, develop initiatives that drive product adoption and grow revenues.
- Identify and evaluate competitors’ strategies, pricing, and positioning, in order to implement strategies and goals.
- Develop and maintain a client contact list Identify and develop new prospects.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Listening skills to understand the client’s needs to be able to depict these needs in a proposal.
- Create plans for future value-added solutions of mutual benefit to the customer and the company.
- Prospects for new clients continuously through various forms of communications.
- Generate your own leads and set appointments with decision makers.
- Delivering revenue opportunities and strategies in order to achieve the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Perform regular analysis to measure program/campaign performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement and pipeline revenue.
- Continually look forward and evolve with the sales organization and channel strategy as the company achieves its growth milestones.
- Manage pipeline to keep opportunities updated and current for status, close date, and other essential metrics.
- Work directly with the Vice President of the Company to strategize and develop new business plan.
- High ethical business standards.
- Must have professional appearance and demeanor Follow up on inbound sales leads that come in through marketing channels, company sales team, and vendor partners.
- Close new business opportunities.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and have a team mentality.
- Familiarity with long-sales cycle process with a constant focus of developing potential client relationships.
- Follows up regularly with clients to assess satisfaction and identify business opportunities.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Experience working with SECURITY companies.
- Minimum 2 years experience at a small to mid-size professional services organization in a sales role.
- Detail-oriented with a technical and creative mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Consecutive years of progressive business-to-business experience.
- Must be willing to pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle report Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Willing to travel 15-20% and work odd hours.
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test.
