What You’ll Do
Support the BIU in its provision of business and corporate intelligence services across Deutsche Bank by developing timely and accurate reporting and advice. This includes enhanced research due diligence assessments on particular counterparties, sector-specific reviews, geopolitical trend analysis, or other ad hoc topics of relevant financial crime or reputational risk concern to the Bank
As such, produce demonstrably well-researched reports, including clear indications of sources used by means of detailed attribution, and act as key point of accountability for research and advice, accordingly
Inform the Bank’s decision-making process by briefing the pertinent decision-making bodies or risk committees, and/or advising the Regional Head of the BIU or other relevant stakeholders on potential risk matters gleaned through BIU’s intelligence process. This could include additional administrative or linguistic support, as needed
Support the team in maintaining a repository of accessible and reliable resources, particularly in the relevant local languages and/or jurisdictions, including the identification, evaluation, and assessment of new sources for reliability and credibility
Support in the training and mentoring of junior staff
Perform all administrative functions associated with the role, to include tracking of workflow or other management information, or other duties, as required
Skills You’ll Need
Experience with financial crime, bribery, corruption, or Enhanced Due Diligence reviews and analysis. In this context, experience in the financial services is desired, but not required
Strong expertise and focus on Latin America, preferably with professional experience in the region together with language skills
Proficiency in Portuguese and / or Spanish required
A sound understanding of key regional political and socio-economic issues
The ability to work independently and interact with senior management
Effective organizational and communication skill (both oral and written)
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Familiar with external data sources and third-party systems to be covered as a part of the due diligence process
Robust, credible, and organizationally/politically savvy, with an ability to grasp complex issues quickly
Fluently in Spanish and/or Portuguese. Other languages will be a plus
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
