While you're busy helping us change the landscape of health care, you've got to be able to quickly adapt to change in a fluid environment. It's all about quality reporting, analysis and developing plans and programs to support continuous operational improvement and development. You'll also be challenged to gain buy-in from multiple stakeholders before presenting solutions to senior leadership.


Positions in this function are responsible for end-to-end business process activities - creating, controlling and improving business processes. Leads process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities. Diagnose process improvement opportunities and develop solutions using principles of process excellence and related tools.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create, control and improve end-to-end business processes
  • Lead process design and project implementation teams in process improvement activities
  • Create quality reporting, analysis and audits for developing plans and programs to support continuous quality improvement using applicable tools
  • Project manage and drive execution for identified strategies and campaigns to integrate digital chart retrieval into chart review process
  • Work closely with data teams to build tools needed to support projects and manage data issues and enhancements
  • Propose, facilitate, oversee, maintain, monitor implementation of business process solutions
  • Lead cross-functional or segment teams/projects

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in writing business and/or system requirements
  • 5+ years experience in business analysis or finance analysis
  • 3+ years experience with documenting operational processes and practices
  • Experience as a Team Lead or Project Lead
  • Experience creating and executing presentations to leadership and stakeholders (must be proficient with MS PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, detailed presentation of data skills)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Healthcare industry experience, specifically related to Quality and Risk Adjustment
  • Experience with medical record retrieval
  • Experience with MS Access, Project, Visio, and SharePoint

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
