Job Description

This position will work directly with all Drug & Value customer Field Operations personnel, MEC BU’s and all
bottlers/distributors to communicate corporately-mandated POG’s and programs, as well as develop and ensure
execution of strategies and programs to enhance Monster Energy Company sales and share with our Drug & Value
customers, which include Dollar General, Family Dollar, Walgreens, CVS & Rite Aid.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Drug & Value customer field operations personnel to ensure execution
    of agreed upon Monster & customer objectives
  • Initiate and secure meetings with the appropriate customer field operations personnel to review the Monster
    business and discuss sales growth opportunities
  • Proactively communicate with the MEC Business Units on opportunities and execution of key programs with their
    Drug & Value customers. Additionally, work in collaboration with the respective Monster Region Managers,
    Commercialization teams and FSR’s as needed
  • Train internal Monster employees on execution at store level and best practices to utilize when working with and
    selling to Drug & Value customers
  • Work with MEC’s Coca-Cola bottling partners in training and understanding the energy category, MEC brands,
    MEC business within the Drug & Value channels, in addition to developing best practices for working with and
    executing our programs with our customers
  • Work on special projects as identified by their manager to grow Monster sales and share
  • Demonstrates a passion for understanding best business practices, plus trends and technology affecting the
    business, industry and marketplace.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of issues relevant to the broader organization.
  • Maintain customer focus to proactively identify opportunities to improve service to the customer, quickly and
    effectively respond to customer problems, partner with other functions/department to meet customer needs
  • Understand and anticipate how business plans and actions will impact both MEC and the customer financially
  • Provides timely, constructive and actionable feedback to coach others to improve performance
  • Target incremental sell in opportunities, coordinating the sell-in with Retailer Field Teams and Local Bottlers
  • Ability to present to large and small audiences with the customers, bottlers or MEC BU’s
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to overcome objections
  • Utilize PowerBI reporting platform to create reporting and identify opportunities within the territory

Position Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers; ability to collaborate at all levels of both the
    internally within the Monster Energy Company as well as with the customer
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities and expenses
  • Able to work independently while being a team player
  • Proficiency using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience and familiarity with Nielsen/IRI and PowerBI reports
  • Flexibility to travel as needed, generally 70% of time traveling
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Marketing or Finance
  • Strong proficiency in written and oral communication
  • Must be able to proactively work with multiple departments of the company and drive results and accomplish
    goals

Pay Range : $76,000 - $98,000k
