Job Description
Communications Specialist will assist NCTracks management in planning and creating strategies, tactics, activities and materials for the purpose of conveying the most positive message in relations to the NCTracks system and North Carolina Medicaid.
Essential Job Functions
- Assists in planning, implementation and development of communications projects in the areas of promotional programs, public relations and trade shows to ensure company goals are met.
- Implements packaging and distribution of marketing materials to ensure proper dissemination of company messages to target markets.
- Serves as liaison between the company and its client, trade associations, outside vendors and media audiences to promote communication and information flow.
- Participates in the development of plans for product promotion to support company marketing objectives.
- Prepares materials for internal and external presentations on products, business plans and management communications in order to promote company agenda.
- Serves as editor for formal business communications as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience writing and creating presentations
- Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures
Other Qualifications
- Experience working with NCTracks and North Carolina Medicaid systemsMarketing and advertising skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communication or related field preferred
- Interpersonal skills to communicate with clients and upper management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
- Willingness to travel
- Willing to be available on weekends and nights if needed
