Storm Search has Direct Hire positions available in Georgetown, Kentucky. We are currently hiring for 1st Shift Converting Supervisors.

1st Shift: 5:00am-3:30pm (4-10 hour shifts)

Pay starting between $60,000-$70,000/year (More pay based on experience)

Experience: Must have Corrugating Cardboard boxing experience. 4-5 years experience as Production Supervisor, Minimum of 2 years in the Corrugating Cardboard Boxing Industry.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Duties Included:

- Provide Daily Leadership and Supervision to the Department

- Assist plant superintendent with staffing plan to satisfy production demands

- Play a vital role in managing productivity performance to key metrics

- Approve vacation and other time off requests for employees.

- Develop and foster a good working relationship between departments.

- Ensure all employees efficiently operate machinery in accordance to customer approved specifications and all quality requirements

- Practice Strong employee relations to create and maintain satisfactory productivity, motivation, and moral.

- Ensure that all individuals are treated fairly and with respect.

- Work with Scheduler to coordinate to meet customer requests.

- Assist in the completion and conduction of performance appraisals, as needed, for employees.

- Assist in providing feedback on performance including, but not limited to, rates, efficiencies, and goals.

- Implement and Drive Continuous improvement activities

- Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams as needed and when appropriate for targeted areas

- Work with Crews in identifying root causes for non-conformance issues and in developing corrective actions.

- Continually Promote a Safe Work Environment

- Establish and maintain a strong safety culture on a daily basis

- Conduct training on weekly, monthly, and/or yearly safety topics.

- Conduct safety Audits; provide any recommendations for improvement and or document any violations

- Ensure all employees safely and efficiently operate converting machinery in accordance to all Safety Policies and Procedures.

- Responsible for the Growth and development of employees

Skills: Must possess strong leadership skills, must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and in teams. Strong interpersonal skills required.

Physical demands: Must lift up to 30lbs occasionally

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
