Job Description

Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) will assist customers with inquiries regarding their purchases. CSRs work closely with the sales and purchasing departments to resolve customer issues and questions. Common tasks include: updating customers on order status, assisting customers in determining product needs, providing pricing and stock information, placing orders, and processing returns.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Deal directly with customers either by telephone, email, or face-to-face
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints
  • Process orders, forms, applications, and requests
  • Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions
  • Record details of inquiries, comments, complaints, and actions taken
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
  • Follow up on customer interactions
  • Communicate and clarify company policies to customers
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Customer Service Manager

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Associates's Degree
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate independently, stay on task, and cope in a highly-challenging and fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strict attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of a wide-range of IT and office products
  • Ability to type efficiently
  • Experience with relevant computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
