Overview:
Compensation: $65,000 - $95,000 based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexible hybrid)
The Debit Card Operations Manager oversees the operations of the Visa Debit Card, Business Visa Debit Card, and instant issue machine programs. This individual performs a wide variety of complex administrative tasks to support Suncoast Credit Union’s debit card and ATM card programs. Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the Debit Card Department
  • Manage debit card procedures
  • Coordinate UAT testing for maintenance releases, new systems, and processes
  • Correspond to debit card calls and emails related to debit card operations
  • Generate debit card reports and access related databases to obtain appropriate data (including Visa DPS, Visa Data Manager, OnBase, ARCU, Visa Analytics Platform, and others as needed)
  • Analyze and interpret complex account, card, and equipment issues
  • Resolve issues and identify policy or procedure enhancement opportunities
  • Manage vendor invoice accuracy and payments
  • Analyze vendor cost trends and services provided
  • Monitor the staff’s research and corrections on complex debit card transaction exceptions, rejections, and non-posted items
  • Analyze member accounts with unusual problems to correct errors or provide other appropriate solutions
  • Manage the replacements or issues of the Instant Issue Debit Card Machine
  • Support department projects, enterprise projects, product development, and annual debit card budget
  • Evaluate ATM and debit card network technical issues
  • Audit and verify daily settlement, daily data updates, and adjust incoming and outgoing vendor files
  • Manage the preparation of monthly statistical and activity reports for senior management
  • Maintain the accuracy of E-manual, intranet, and website information for department products and procedures
  • Train and cross-train new department employees and credit union staff
  • Assist staff with complex or unusual debit card situations
  • Monitor debit card inventory and order cards as necessary
  • Cultivate a strong team by building trust among the team members
  • Conduct the personnel activities for the debit card staff
  • Delegate responsibilities to staff and monitor progress
  • Monitor overall progress to ensure department goals are met and high-quality member service is maintained
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements)
  • 4+ years of ATM and check card services experience with a financial institution
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficient math skills to balance the department’s general ledger accounts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, deal effectively with competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators
  • Ability to communicate policies, practices, and procedures for direct reports and other stakeholders to understand
