Registered Dietitian

Purpose: To ensure our patrons receive a safe, individualized, and quality nutritional services on a daily basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct nutrition screening, assessment, and education
  • Implement and revise menus to meet the residents' needs as needed
  • Work with other resident services according to total Care Plan approach
  • Assist in developing a written dietary plan of care that identifies the dietary problems/needs of the resident and the goals to be accomplished for each
  • Work with Dietary Manager to ensure that care plans are used in planning daily dietary services for the resident
  • Ensure that the care plan identifies any special equipment and utensils the resident may need
  • Evaluate information on a patient's chart and make recommendations for appropriate medical nutrition therapy.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must hold a license as a Registered Dietitian
  • Must have the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, etc., of the Food Services Department.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
