Aon is hiring a Director, Client Advocacy to support the Reinsurance business

In this role, you will work closely with the sales team to provide world class customer experience and be a part of the best-in-class client services team in the reinsurance industry. We are looking for a candidate who is excited to lead teams of advocates and technicians that support our clients wherein you help develop and strengthen advocacy skills and implement individual career development plans and mentorship opportunities for your team.

Position Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this position are listed below. Additional responsibilities may be added at a later date. Implement Client Services Advocacy Model and One Team Culture Set realistic and stretch targets for team as defined by senior leadership which accurately reflect market conditions and opportunities. Work with team members to strengthen existing relationships with ceding companies. Prepare and deliver annual and ongoing performance appraisals. Monitor team budget for hiring, travel, entertainment and other expenses. Responsible for coaching and motivating team members; working with local HR business partner for team members to create development plans. Ensure the team and the process flow remain compliant with local regulatory requirements. Ensure timely completion of mandatory Aon University modules. Provide assistance with system design and testing. Compile data; organize and schedule Client Services meetings. Assist in coordinating with Sales teams for RFPs and/or Client Services staff visiting ceding companies, as appropriate. Perform special projects and participate in projects, as requested. Assist our clients in the notifications and explanations to reinsurers of individually reported claims, complex claims and/or catastrophe claims Oversee and manage revenue in excess of $5m on behalf of your dedicated clients Manage the reinsurance assets of our valued clients, including Fortune 500 companies Work closely with the sales team to provide world class customer experience Lead a team of technicians that support our clients wherein you are the dedicated advocate for your clients Opportunity to travel domestically to client offices to manage and coordinate claim audits Assist with complex coverage issues and resolving differences by providing contract interpretation, claim information and potential negotiations Help reinsurers understand claims and claim issues across many lines of business Become proficient in claims and reinsurance accounting Be an excellent communicator with client, brokers and reinsurers Develop communication skills Put together presentations Organize and manage critical claim meetings Attend industry conferences Assist Clients (and client’s insureds) with large catastrophe events Secure millions of dollars of collections for your clients every year Be part of a team that manages over $20B in ceded reserves per year Manage collateral on behalf of your clients – often in excess of multiple millions of dollars per year Excellent on-boarding program and continuous training opportunities
Desired Experience Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or equivalent experience Successful completion of Aon’s technical training program or equivalent Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) Ability to think strategically and analytically Strong attention to detail Professional demeanor Ability to work independently and efficiently Insurance and/or Reinsurance claims experience preferred

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $100,000. to $150,000. annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
