This job is responsible for the Distribution’s continuous improvement, projects oversight, operational excellence, and labor optimization programs. This role influences across multiple levels of the organization to gain support for projects, ensure that projects launch effectively, then support projects to ensure they continue to improve and provide high return on investment.

What You’ll Do

  • Participates with department leadership to guide labor management program, ensuring consistent execution
  • Serves as industrial engineering subject matter expert for the DC
  • Identifies process, technology, and labor improvement opportunities. Works to prioritize and set direction
  • Establishes appropriate metrics and reporting to guide leaders in their everyday decision making
  • Provides guidance to DC teams for consistent execution of processes and best practice
  • Leads and participates in cross-functional projects
  • Completes time studies to support ongoing standards creation and validation
  • Acts as a subject matter expert for labor management systems and labor continuous improvement programs within the building.
  • Manages, defines scope and determine phase timing of projects including: ecommerce optimization, post-merger integrations, inventory put-away optimization, new customer integrations and shipping guide compliance, WMS improvements and integrations, incorporating automation and robotics, process flow and SOP development, defect reductions, preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Willingness to support all shifts for during implementations
  • Evaluate and implement engineered standards and Kaizen efforts
  • Identify and outline potential Capital Investment improvements and projects

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or related degree
  • 5+ Years of related experience in relevant or related position in engineering support or operations improvement in a retail, manufacturing, or comparable environment
  • Experience conducting time studies and development of engineered labor standards.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining warehouse and labor management systems. Preferably Microsoft NAV and D365
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodology
  • Experience conducting time studies and development of engineered labor standards
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel, SQL, Tableau and Alteryx
  • 25% travel is required which equates to 1 week each month
