Clearway Health is seeking a proven team leader to help develop this program for our health system partners. This person will be Clearway Health's most senior leader of a partner's program, responsible for execution and ensuring that all clinical, operational, and meeting financial goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
  • Leader and quarterback in enabling growth for the partner organization's new specialty pharmacy
  • Execute and develop goals, plans and tactics to ensure partner's specialty pharmacy program continuously improves in size and profitability
  • Develop, maintain and motivate Clearway Health on-site teams of specialty pharmacists, liaisons, and other staff to exceed goals and foster high patient and provider satisfaction; direct day-to-day oversight of those teams
  • Identify trends, leads problem resolution, and lead development of processes and initiatives to continuously grow specialty pharmacy integration within clinics
  • Owner of the relationship between Clearway Health and health system partner leadership and pharmacy teams
  • Coordinates and manages external relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, third-party payors and organizations related to specialty pharmacy on behalf of partner health system
  • Responsible for overseeing compliance to limited distribution drug and specialty pharmacy contract requirements in partnership with health system clients
  • Direct project management for all initiatives at partner health system site related to specialty pharmacy development; includes planning, development, timely project execution
  • Provide expertise in identifying improvements in pharmacy operations to ensure high levels of service within partner specialty pharmacy
  • Forecasting and preparation of specialty pharmacy operating and financial plans, including financial planning and decision support
  • Updating job expertise within specialty pharmacy by participating in educational forums and professional organizations, representing both the partner and Clearway Health
  • Work with Clearway Health corporate resources to leverage subject matter expertise and resources needed to execute and exceed plans
  • Willing to go above and beyond to do whatever is necessary for the betterment of the organization
  • Open to regional geographic responsibilities that may increase with company growth (travel up to 25-50% of time potentially)

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
  • Pharmacist with PharmD or BS Pharm required. MBA or other business degree preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Must be currently registered as a Pharmacist with the Board of Pharmacy in the state of residence of the client.
  • Multi-state licensure preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Dependent on education:
    • Bachelors or PharmD Pharmacy (B.S. or PharmD):
      At least 7 years in with relevant experience in research pharmacy.
    • Doctorate (Plus residency if residency is non-research related):
      At least 5 years with relevant experience in research pharmacy
    • Doctorate + PGY2 Residency (if residency experience includes research)
  • At least 3 years with relevant experience in specialty or retail pharmacy
  • Prior leadership experience is preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Experience managing and successfully executing complex projects (preferably in a health system setting) while working with diverse stakeholders
  • Leadership within a specialty pharmacy, health system, or managed care setting with a track record of transforming
  • Been responsible for and successfully managed a P&L for a specialty pharmacy or large scale pharmacy program
  • Clear and effective people management and communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, high attention to detail
  • Project management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook
  • Experience working in a clinical setting, ideally holding a PharmD, BS in Pharmacy, or other clinical credential (e.g. RN, MD)
  • Firsthand experience in starting own specialty pharmacy or early stage health care environments
  • Experience and understanding with clinical knowledge in specialty drugs and treatments
  • Proficiency with standard software used in a healthcare setting, such as EMR systems (e.g. EPIC, Cerner, Meditech), dispensing systems (e.g. QS/1, RX30, Liberty)
  • Advanced degrees in healthcare-related field or business administration
  • Knowledge and direct experience in hospital, clinic or health system environment (bonus points for a background in 340B)
  • Background in specialty pharmacy accreditation (application, process and maintenance of the accreditation at partner sites)

Compensation/Benefits:

Base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000 - 200,000 + bonus + benefits
