We are looking for a software engineer with a strong background in investigating technical problems. You will triage incoming bugs, analyze logs, and determine priorities while spotting emerging issues from bug reports filed by Apple employees and external developers. You will be encouraged to design and implement processes and automation that improve the efficiency of those bug report investigations. You will also be building and maintaining internal documentation for consistency, clarity, and training. You will become an intregral part of Apple's development process. You will participate in engineering design discussions and be part of feature planning. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must because of the close interaction with engineering teams throughout Apple. Responsibilities: Drive quality and champion bug fixes, work closely with our framework engineering/development teams, and analyze root causes for the issues Screen and triage incoming media bugs (understand, clarify, and provide guidance) for our engineering teams Identifying repetitive manual routines and converting them into automated tools for the team to use Identify potential trends in incoming bugs and call out to multi-functional team members Work directly with engineering and cross-functional screening and triage teams in order to solve complex problems

Technical B.S. or equivalent professional experience

• Desired but not required:
• Experience developing automation
• Experience in Swift, Objective-C, or C/C++
• Understanding of ML/AI concepts

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $95,000 and $177,000 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
