The Project Manager will provide organizational and administrative support to engineering projects by: managing vendor relationships, purchasing/procurement support, cost estimating, and planning/scheduling. Group14 is growing quickly and has an array of projects of varying complexity in various stages of execution. A strong project and business management skill set is needed to support, organize, and coordinate the execution of our projects.


WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:


  • Steward the project execution process utilizing the company’s emerging phase-gate project management process. Support completion, submission, and approval of project documentation.
  • Engage with vendors to develop quotes for design, fabrication, maintenance and/or modification of equipment related to engineering projects for our battery materials manufacturing facility.
  • Create accurate monthly cost reports for our project portfolio, identifying variances from the plan on commitment, value of work done, etc.
  • Monitor actual resource loading for engineering projects vs projected resource requirements.
  • Communicate project and task progress through Gantt charts and other scheduling visualization tools.
  • Develop, monitor and analyze KPI’s for project execution and vendor performance including safety, manpower costs, and timeline commitments.
  • Participate in kick-offs and ongoing meetings ensuring common understanding of project controls.
  • Serve as the budget custodian, lead financial close-out of the project and participate in other project close-out activities.
  • Directly interface with SAP, Accounting, Finance, and other external stakeholders to ensure that business information requirements for projects are satisfied.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:


  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Associated Field.
  • Have 4 years of experience in a Project Management or Project Services role in an industrial facility.
  • Strong working knowledge of projects cost forecasting and stage gate schedule deliverables.

OTHER QUALITIES WE’D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:


  • Engineering or Engineering Management degree.
  • Experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in reporting and tracking project work efforts and cost on complex projects.
  • Experience with managing project budgeting and spend in SAP.
  • Knowledge of P6 Primavera, Microsoft Project or other scheduling software.

The base pay range for this role is $85,000 to $110,000. Actual pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
