Job Description

We're looking for a positive, charismatic, reliable individual with a love of hospitality and a passion for people to join our boutique hotel as Front Desk Manager.

The Front Desk Manager serves as the property Manager on duty and oversees and supports the daily operations of guest services. They lead, and inspire the Front Desk team, and ensure guest satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads and empowers the FD team to provide exceptional guest service
  • Hires, trains, coaches and mentors the FD team to promote further growth and development
  • Intervenes in any guest/team member situations as needed
  • Monitors FD operations to ensure Hotel standards are being followed and properly executed
  • Ensures all FD shift responsibilities (reports, etc.) are executed correctly and efficiently
  • Schedules FD team to fit within monthly budget, Ensures all shifts are covered and staffed, works FD shifts as needed.
  • Ensures all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are adhered to amongst the FD team
  • Maintains confidentiality of guest, employee and company information
  • Participate in lobby ambassador and other activities related to interacting with guests on an individual level, thus creating a relationship and culture that will result in repeat stays.
  • Maximize room revenue and occupancy by effectively controlling rates and availability.
  • Balance staffing levels and labor to achieve ideal employee/guest engagement and cost ratio.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Hotel setting – Hospitality degree preferred or relevant experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an empathetic heart
  • Technologically sound with Google applications, RoomMaster, Synxis/Sabre, Extanets
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and staff, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
