Summer Nanny Position in Congress Park

Our family is looking for a fun, responsible and dependable nanny to watch our 5 and 8-year-old during summer break (June 1-Aug 20th). The ideal candidate would have child care experience, be excited to spend time with our kids biking, swimming, hiking, going to the park as well as provide pick up and drop off to camps and other organized activities.

Job Info:

  • The primary focus of the job is summer child care for our 5 and 8 year old daughters
  • Very light housework (just cleaning up after kid activities) and meal prep for the kids (breakfast and lunch along with a dinner or two per month)
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record, family has car that nanny can use to drive kids to activities
  • We have a pool membership and memberships to some muesums and the botanic gardens, we would be happy to consider additional memberships for activities you are excited to do with the kids.
  • Occasional errands (Target, grocery store, etc)
  • possibly overseeing some play dates with neighborhood friends

Schedule:

  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week of pay, though some weeks we will need less than 40 hours of child care
  • Days would typically be 8-10 hours in length, starting between 6:30 and 9 in the morning
  • 4 day work weeks most weeks
  • Typically 1-3 weekend days per month
  • 1-2 evenings per month (until approx 9pm)
  • Schedule would be provided one month in advance (June schedule available early May, sample schedule available)
  • Start date June 1st
  • 2 weeks of paid time off (during the 2 weeks we will be out of town)

Pay and Benefits:

  • 24-30 $/hour depending on experience
  • 2 weeks of paid time off during the summer (during the 2 weeks we will be out of town)

About the family:

  • Both parents work outside the house in health care positions
  • Family has 2 cats, though no cat care would be required from nanny
  • Kids will be going into Kindergarten and 3rd grade. They love outdoor activities, art projects, reading/books, exploring. They are pretty independent and mostly play very well together.
  • We have had several long term nannies in the past that are happy to serve as references for our family

Ideal Candidate:

  • Prior child care experience
  • Up to date on COVID and other vaccinations
  • Able to accomadate a flexible schedule
  • energetic, responsible, organized, and excited to work with kids

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

  • Denver, CO: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Nannying: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:
