SUMMARY:
This position seeks a highly-motivated and creative individual with a passion for design and razor-sharp attention to detail. Organizational skills will be critical to your success in this role. This position will work directly with the Marketing
Department
and share responsibility for multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines. Experience on a Mac platform is a must as is proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft applications. This position will also assist with and be responsible for layout, content, and execution of projects.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be skilled in Mac-based applications: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, Power Point and Excel
- Responsible for day-to-day functions to assist the Marketing Department, including but not limited to miscellaneous design projects
- Must understand basic typography, including fonts, point sizes, leading, and justification
- Editing sales and marketing materials, articles, literature, brochures, presentations, and other marketing collateral
- Developing and working with graphics and visual imagery, including color proofing
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to critically think and creatively problem solve
- These skills are a plus: social media experience, web design, video/photography experience
- Responsible for maintenance of marketing library, swatches and all merchandise in the office.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of graphic design
- Experience in electronic media management/social media
- Ability to work with different people across many disciplines effectively
- Associates degree required; Bachelors preferred
- Must present a diverse portfolio for consideration
- Must present writing samples for consideration
- Must to be detail oriented and highly organized
- Must have graphics experience
- Must be team and goal oriented
- Experienced in Mac Based Applications: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Some Web experience is preferred, not required.
- Some minor travel required, must have reliable transportation and a current, valid driver’s license.
