About the Role
Huemen is looking for a Graphic Designer/Copywriter to join our Brand Communications team focused on all creative efforts for the Harman Pro Solutions portfolio of global audio brands. This is a special opportunity to grow your experience as part of a tight-knit team in a young agency as it grows and evolves.
The Graphic Designer/Copywriter will have 2-5 years of experience in graphic and presentation design as well as copywriting. Expert power point presentation designer with exceptional copy and communication skills. In this role, the designer/writer will also spend approximately 50% of their time assuming copywriting tasks including advertising and social media copy. The Graphic Designer/Copywriter will work with the pro design team creative lead and a team of designers to develop compelling and culturally relevant creative for multiple cross-platform executions across several types of media: NPI launches, sustaining asset development, web & email, social media, video, print, retail, presentations, events, etc. The work will be a mix of B2C and B2B.

What You Will Do
  • Study design briefs and conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
  • Strong experience with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop)
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies.
  • Writing clear, compelling copy for various medium.
  • Working with creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns
  • Produce error-free copy and design that adheres to the company’s style guidelines
  • Work closely with the design team to improve the quality
  • Ensure the design and copy meet required specifications for quality and function prior to delivery.
What You Need
  • Proven graphic design experience with strong copywriting proficiency,
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with designers and stakeholders on various projects across department
  • Understands and implements brand voice, tone, and style for global audiences.
  • Strong experience with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop)
  • Proven experience as quality inspector or relevant role
  • Selecting output samples and checking them using appropriate methods
  • Creating and editing original copy that is accurate, well-researched, and meets client/company needs and deadlines.
  • Speaking with internal and external parties to learn about their content needs.
  • Good knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 products
  • Good understanding of the pro audio target audience.
What is Nice to Have
  • Proven ability to present and sell your creative work to the creative team and clients alike
  • An innate understanding of the social media landscape
  • A passion for music, content creation, professional audio, and the ability to put it into words
  • Experience in the consumer electronics industry
  • Experience in the recording & broadcast and professional A/V/L industries
  • A background or strong interest in art and design
  • Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite
What Makes You Eligible
  • Be willing to travel up to 5% domestic and/or international
  • Be willing to work remote or in an office environment in Los Angeles, Dallas, or anywhere in between.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

  • The standard base salary range for this position is $81,000– $99,000 plus applicable bonus.
