Job Description

Machimpex is rapidly expanding our talented team of professionals and is seeking a talented Graphic Designer. The Graphic Designer will assist in developing consumer product packaging, graphics for presentations, logos, and brand guidebooks with a focus on photoshop editing, content management for presentations (PowerPoint knowledge is a must-have), and pre-press. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable in file prepping for printing, extremely detailed oriented, and highly skilled in photo manipulation and presentation preparation in PowerPoint. To be successful as the Graphic Designer, this individual must thrive in a team environment, and possess a confident, passionate, self-driven attitude as this is a hands-on position. You must deliver on time with high-quality deliverables while maintaining great attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The position requires mechanical skills for some repetitive tasks.

Graphic Designer Primary Relationships

· The position reports directly with the Creative Director and has day-to-day relationships with the Operations & Marketing Team.

Graphic Designer Primary Responsibilities

· Responsible for supporting visual marketing and service line needs by providing timely, consistent, and high-quality design work and templates under strict deadlines.

· Communicate with Creative Director, Marketing and Operations Team to understand requirements and priorities.

· Packaging Design

o Revise existing packaging and prepping artwork files for printing

o Understand packaging dielines and packaging concepts

o Apply concepts to several different dielines

o Prepare files for the press with great attention to detail

· Photo editing and manipulating are a must

· Photography skills are a plus

· PowerPoint Presentation prepping is a must

Graphic Designer Skills and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, or related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience

· Strong communications skills, both verbally and written

· Experience in packaging design, private label branding, off-shelf merchandising is a plus

· Solid time management, organizational skills, critical thinking, analytical, and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work on several assignments simultaneously

· Knowledge of product and lifestyle photography

· Experience with pre-production process including mechanicals, imaging, proofing, and digital development

· Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office software

· Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop

· Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator

· Highly proficient in PowerPoint

· Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent time management skills

· Must have the ability to take direction and execute requirements with strong attention to detail
