A Litigation focused Legal Administrative Assistant assists attorneys and paralegals through the performance of complex and substantive legal tasks requiring knowledge of legal terminology and the legal process. The candidate we seek must have significant law firm Litigation experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide all aspects of litigation administrative support
2. Handle heavy caseload and assist with all aspects of the litigation process, including but not limited to preparation of court documents and e-filing of the same in numerous jurisdictions
3. Assist with trial preparation, manage trial exhibits, prepare and maintain trial notebooks, perform legal research as needed, and communicate with clients, experts and witnesses
4. Maintain calendar of all deadlines in conjunction with client protocol, document deadlines, court deadlines and trial preparation deadlines
5. Experience with transcription software preferred but not required (Express Dictate or similar)
6. Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. One year administrative office experience is required. Litigation experience required.
