Job Description

The maintenance technician trouble shoots, repairs, and rebuilds production machinery in support of the production area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs preventative maintenance as needed on various types of machines.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs failed equipment.
  • Assists operators in machine set-up and changeovers.
  • Assists on the floor as directed by the production supervisor.
  • Rebuilds pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders and valves.
  • Removes and replaces bearings.
  • Removes and replaces non-working and defective parts.
  • Devises and implements new strategies that enhance machine maintainability.
  • Devises, authors, and implements new preventative maintenance instructions that will increase productivity and/or reduce down time.
  • Assists in the layout and implementation of facilities changes.
  • Assists in the implementation of new automation.
  • Modifies and creates machine programs (CNC and ladder logic).
  • Assists in the layout and maintenance of machine instrumentation systems.
  • Assists in keeping the maintenance and production areas clean.

Manufacturing processes include CNC drill grinding, high-speed machining, die cast, injection molding, metal forming, and stamping.

Pay: $19 - $25 / hour
