Position Description

Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations such as forms, policies and workflow; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis. Incumbents make recommendations and assist in or implement new or revised procedures and systems.


The Division of Public and Behavioral Health is recruiting for a Management Analyst 1 located in Las Vegas. The Management Analyst I, also known as the Quality Management Coordinator will work directly with the following federal grant programs: Ryan White Part B & AIDS Drug Assistance Program, Community Health Services, Office of HIV. This position will plan, coordinate, and monitor quality improvement and strategic planning activities to remain in compliance with Health Resources and Services Administration quality management standards and guidance; develop policies and procedures for quality assurance and quality improvement processes relating to internal programs and community providers; design and conduct program evaluations for use in program planning, develop clinical and quality practice guidelines and standards incorporating evidence-based best practices. The Quality Management Coordinator will work closely with both Ryan White Part B and AIDS Drug Assistance Program staff, as well as statewide subrecipients. This position will also convene a monthly or semi-monthly community-wide (subrecipients & clients) quality management group.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and one year of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience as described above; OR two years of experience as an Accountant Technician I or Tax Examiner II in Nevada State service; OR one year of experience as an Accountant Technician II or Fiscal/Business Professional Trainee in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
