Work you'll do

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Manager will support the Diversity & Equity (D&E) pillar and lead the work related to Data, Reporting, and Accountability Mechanisms. Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the self-identification implementations that occur on an annual basis and feed our ability to report out on various dimensions of our professionals' identity (includes scoping, planning, defining requirements, testing, managing roll-out and training)

  • Own, manage and govern DEI data collected through self-identification and the reporting tools used to share DEI data with users

  • Lead and advance the DEI reporting and analytics portfolio to drive understanding of specific needs and experiences of our people, support equity throughout talent processes and enable leaders to make data-driven decisions

  • Develop, monitor, and assess progress against DEI goals to promote transparency and accountability for actions and results over time at all leadership levels

  • Drive Partner, Principal and Managing Director accountability for advancing DEI

The team

The Diversity and Equity pillar focuses on:

  • Data, Reporting, and Accountability:Creating and maintaining DEI dashboards, identifying gaps in DEI data, and creating solutions (e.g., Self ID) Developing accountability mechanisms, such as measurable goals for senior leaders, to ensure that our leaders are accountable for accomplishing our DEI goals

  • Transparency

Providing transparency on our DEI journey to becoming more equitable and diverse (e.g., Transparency Report)

  • Equity Interventions:

Conducting reviews to identify talent and business systems, processes, and policies that can be improved for equitable outcomes and, based on findings, developing, and implementing interventions

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum 7 years of work experience

  • Experience in data analysis that includes data management and organization, data manipulation, data visualization tools (e.g., One Model, Tableau), data interpretation, and data governance

  • Experience building relationships, collaborating, and advising various teams and leaders across an organization

  • Experience preparing executive level deliverables and presentations for senior leaders

  • Experience managing junior and mid-level professionals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite specifically PowerPoint and Excel

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and previous work experience in the DEI space

This compensation range is specific to California, Colorado, Jersey City, Nevada, New York City, and Washington State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $86,425 to $177,470.
