Job Description

General Description
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will develop standards, processes, and procedures to improve production, test, quality, and related operations within the Bevco production environment. They will also streamline work flow and simply process flow and layouts. In addition they will lead projects using engineering practices and Lean Six Sigma methodology to proactively develop and implement measures to improve operations and customer satisfaction.
Essential job functions

  • Create and maintain required manufacturing process documentation, including facility layout, process flow charts, capacity, and utilization studies, labor standard assessments and other analysis required.
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Evaluate need and design for improved material handling processes and equipment.

Work experience requirements

  • Experience with MS Office products and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of quality systems, Lean Six Sigma concepts
  • Course or project work with facility layouts, work analysis, and human factors
  • The preferred candidate will have some prior manufacturing experience and/or knowledge of electrical systems

Education requirements

  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering student entering their Junior or Senior year and in good academic standing

Job Types: Full-time, Internship

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
