The Mining Technology Marketing Consultant position serves as the customer experience & Mining Technology campaign gatekeeper, supporting the development of a communication plan and creation of marketing materials in accordance with Caterpillar’s communication guidelines and philosophy. You will act as a subject matter expert on all marketing initiatives for the Mining Technology Enabled Solutions (MTES) Groups to develop marketing campaigns covering solutions and manage the implementation of these specific campaigns throughout the world. This position is also responsible for the development of an annual MTES Marketing plan in conjunction with the MTES team, working with multiple groups to prioritize, budget, and execute events and focused customer activities. The incumbent will promote the creation, enhancement, and development of marketing programs to promote MTES Caterpillar product and services solutions covering the technology space. Goals will include maintaining MTES's brand integrity and strategy. The MTES Marketing Consultant will also oversee the integration of current campaigns, new product introductions & internal marketing services to major events and make sure that the Mining Technology message is part of the go-to-market communication plan.

What you will do:

• Work with internal and external customers to develop, implement and maintain a marketing strategy for the MTES portfolio.

• Work with creative staff and other department heads to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages.

• Develop and control marketing plans within budget requirements.

• Collaborate with all departments to identify internal and external customer needs.

• Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing activities.

• Evaluate the success of various communication strategies and implement improvement as needed.

• Ensure that all materials are developed and distributed according to an appropriate timeline.

• Provide strategic leadership to the marketing communications group in the sustainability space.

• Deliver annual plans for MTES marketing.

• Support the development of small and large-scale events.

What you have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

10+ years of overall experience in Marketing or Project Management.

Top Candidates will also have:

MBA.

Previous Cat and/or Dealer Experience.

Excellent presentation skills and ability to present to all levels of leadership.

Additional information:

The location for this position is Peoria, IL.

Domestic relocation assistance is available.

This position may require 10% travel.
