Job Description

Operating as a regional airline in the United States, Air Wisconsin Airlines performs flying services for American Airlines as American Eagle throughout the Midwest and East Coast, operating CRJ-200 regional jets. Our exceptional team is dedicated to making our travelers' experiences safe and pleasant.

In coordination with the CFO, the Managing Director of Financial Planning & Analysis will assist in the oversight of all Company long-term financial forecasts, annual budget preparation, labor and industry comparative analyses, and other ad hoc financial analyses. This position plays an integral role in supporting the CFO in helping the company achieve its financial objectives as well as the commercial relationship with our partner airline.

Essential Job Functions:


  • Maintains and updates all long-term financial forecasts, including scenario analysis for changes in macro-level inputs.
  • Thru leading the team of financial analysts and working with business stakeholders, develops the annual budget for the Company, including capital expenditures.
  • Supports the Company in labor negotiations with our unionized workforces.
  • Prepares internal reports for senior management, including for the Board of Directors on a range of areas impacting the airline.
  • Develops and builds effective working relationships with department and senior leadership to foster collaboration and trust and help support the operating groups in ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Interfaces with stakeholders and lead project teams on financial projects.
  • Develops comprehensive industry knowledge and analysis of the airline industry including labor rates, fleet diversification, etc.
  • Provides support to the entire Finance/Accounting organization in helping to improve process efficiencies through Excel-based solutions.
  • Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.

Education & Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required in finance or accounting
  • Seven to ten years’ experience in accounting or finance
  • Three to five years’ experience in managing or supervising employees

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Extensive experience with financial analysis
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks under compressed timelines
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills
