Responsibilities:
We are searching for a talented .Net Software Developer to become part of Peraton’s Citizens Security & Public Services, State & Local Regional, Maryland Automated Benefits System Program. This position will be located on a client site in Baltimore, MD.
The .Net Software Developer will support Maryland’s Department of Labor to maintain and enhance the current Unemployment Insurance benefits application. The Developer will need to write complex queries in MS SQL, support web-based application systems, be able to solve problems and have the ability to use MS Office Tools.
What you’ll do:
The .Net Software Developer will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
- Develop programs for .NET applications
- Program using ASP.Net MVC, C#
- Use Knowledge of Visual Studio Development Environment to solve problems
- Design and maintain software within the Microsoft Framework
- Utilize Team Foundation Server and Git repository
- Utilize Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- Utilize MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Utilize MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Be able to use Client-side web development
- Be able to perform System Analysis and apply Design skills
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree and 8+ years’ experience or high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years relevant experience
- 8+ years of experience in Systems Dev and Support
- Ability to develop programs for .NET applications and familiarity with the .NET framework
- Ability to program using ASP.Net MVC
- Proficient in C# with a good knowledge of its ecosystems and ability to code reusable C# libraries
- Knowledge of and ability to use the Visual Studio Development Environment
- Ability to design and maintain software within the Microsoft Framework
- Experience in using Team Foundation Server and Git repository
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming
- Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
- MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools, MS Visio
- Familiarity with Client-side web development
- System Analysis and Design skills
- Ability to work with Report Server
- Ability to perform Requirements Analysis from User requests
- Ability to write complex queries in MS SQL
- Experience in supporting web-based application systems
- Leadership skills – Ability to function as Team/Functional Lead when necessary
- Knowledge of Unemployment Insurance Systems, UI business processes
- Experience having worked as Systems Analyst / Technical Team Lead
