SAIC’s National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are seeking highly motivated Network Installation / Maintenance Specialists to join our team and leverage their technical expertise to install, configure, modify, troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace computer hardware, peripherals, and other equipment. As the Network Installation / Maintenance Specialist, you will perform all lifecycle support such as hardware, software, firmware, and configuration upgrades or modifications, to currently installed network equipment, including troubleshooting, and repairing and/or replacing failed network devices.

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Configuring, managing, and sustaining network infrastructure
• Identifying the types and functions of computer and telecommunications network elements, documenting intercommunications, and mapping physical and logical target networks by graphing communications
• Implementing, configuring, and sustaining computer and network security solutions (e.g., encryption, firewalls, anti-virus rule sets, and intrusion detection and prevention systems)
• Applying concepts, principles, theories, and methods for securing telecommunications and computer networks
• Planning, coordinating, and administering the installation, testing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Networking, or related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
  • Installation or maintenance of network, or telecommunications equipment
  • Manufacturing of fiber optic or copper cabling, or using specialized test equipment and network analysis tools (e.g., network management software, data analyzers, BERTS, and OTDR)
