Work Duties
- In the supervisory role, the Nurse Supervisor takes responsibility to lead the CNA, LPN, and RN team and ensure that all procedures are followed during emergency situations.
- Assures that nursing staff is carrying out their respective duties toward resident care, which includes monitoring call lights so that they are promptly answered; and other resident and family care needs are met appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Assists in disciplinary actions.
- Actively engages residents in participation in daily activities which are part of resident’s rhythm of daily life (including desired hygiene, grooming, and mobility);
- Assesses resident’s needs at the time of admission and continually evaluates residents’ condition during the duration of their stay and promotes the highest functional level of independence possible (keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations, and the community’s safety procedures);
- Makes frequent rounds and utilizes the nursing process to identify resident conditions that require further evaluation and treatment by a physician;
- Reports significant medical changes to the relevant Team Members, Physician, Director of AL, HSA and designated family members as appropriate;
- Responds to emergency situations, carries out physician orders, and documents the event, interventions, and outcomes;
- Assures proper documentation including but not limited to: consents, summary notes, care plans, medication records, etc.
- Coordinates the residents’ plan of care with the interdisciplinary team (IDT), physicians, medical personnel, and resident’s family/responsible party;
- Proactively participates in the move-in and move-out procedures for each resident;
- Provides effective and courteous service to all residents, family members, guests, and team members; is clear in communication and handles conflicts appropriately;
- Makes daily rounds and reports any unusual changes to the Director of Assisted Living.
- Updates the Director of Assisted Living on any administrative concerns, i.e. family issues.
- Maintains daily records consistent with regulations;
- Promotes and protects the rights of each resident;
Education
- Completion of Accredited Licensed Nursing Program (RN)
- BS Degree, preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience
Experience/Training
- Minimum of 1 year professional managerial experience in related field
- Clinical observation and assessment skills
- Proficient computer skills necessary to complete documentation, review electronic health records and communicate with team members
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $116,000.00 per year
