This position is a 37.5 Hours Weekly WIC Nutritionist. The WIC Program provides nutrition education,breastfeeding promotion/support and supplemental foods to promote a healthy lifestyle for pregnant,breastfeeding and postpartum women,infant and children.
Salary Range: $21.78/hr - $34.85/hr
The WIC Nutritionist will ensure participants meet program eligibility, complete nutrition assessment, nutrition education and determine nutritional risks. Conduct breastfeeding assessments, address breastfeeding concerns and provide participant centered counseling that support the participant goals. Approve and review formula requests requiring medical documentation in consultation with Health Care providers. Have a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, valid NYS Driver's License, and basic computer skills.
