The Security Police Officer’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and secure environment for all patients, staff, and visitors to the SJMHS-West Market.
An employee within this classification performs general security police duties in the Security Police Department of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. The Security Police Officer, under supervision of the Chief of Security Police will provide services to include security patrols, preservation of peace, assurance of safety, customer service, report writing, detection and prevention of criminal activity, and effect arrests within the parameters of security police policy, procedures, directives, as well as state and federal law.
Represents the Health System by providing assistance and guidance to all patients, staff and visitors to the SJMHS West Market Campuses.
