Job Description

Acts as primary interface between sales, customer, design and fabrication. Responsible for managing projects from customer’s approval of estimate, to delivery/pick up according to established timelines and within budget. Includes acquiring and coordinating resources/materials and third-party contractors to deliver projects according to plan. Experienced in leading fast paced projects, creating and tracking schedules and monitoring budgets.

Primary Responsibilities

Leads projects and serves as the primary contact for the customer. Establishes and updates project schedules. Manages client expectations and escalates issues as appropriate. Identifies deviations in schedule and takes appropriate corrective actions. Escalates issues that impact timing or budget to management and/or customer as needed.

Major Duties

  • Establish project objectives, functional specifications, schedule and review budget.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to Production Manager in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Participate in project estimating sessions as required.
  • Work closely with Production Manager to monitor adherence to customer requirements and expectations.
  • Inform customer of project status on a regular basis.
  • Meet with the Production Manager regularly to coordinate project activities and to assure the project schedule and expectations are maintained.
  • Maintain a record of project activities.
  • Monitor project costs versus established budgets.
  • Proactively manage changes in scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
  • Estimate projected material costs required to complete the project, and report financial status to management on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and submit Change Orders to the customer for project scope changes.
  • Assist team in the concept, design, and fabrication project phases, including developing and/or approving solutions to specific problems.
  • Coordinate and participate in design reviews as needed.
  • Schedule and participate in safety and reliability review of equipment prior to client pick up or delivery.
  • Report project status to management on a regular basis.
  • Meet with Production Manager to assure sufficient resources are assigned to the project.
  • Build, develop and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a project management capacity, preferably in the trade show or mobile marketing industry
  • Possess team skills and experience as an effective team leader
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize work schedules while dealing with day-to-day changes and interruptions is crucial
  • Ability to deal with factors not easily evaluated, interpret results, exercise judgment and make responsible decisions
  • Technically competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Project)
  • Possess knowledge of build/construction/fabrication process
  • Problem solver
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
  • Proven customer service skills

Work Conditions

  • Overtime may be required to meet project deadlines
  • Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
  • Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, off-site personnel/management and/or project related issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
