Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Project Manager I to support the Office of Connected Care (OCC) at the Department of Veterans Affairs. The OCC brings VA digital technology to veterans and health care professionals, extending access to care beyond the traditional office visit. Through virtual technology, VA can deliver care to patients where and when they need it. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects. You will be responsible for analyzing project-related problems and creating innovative solutions that involve schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or a significant segment of large and complex projects.
  • Analyze new and complex project-related problems, creating innovative solutions that involve schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management.
  • Provide applications systems analysis and develop long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities.
  • Coordinate necessary support resources for the successful completion of projects.
  • Monitor project progress, making adjustments as necessary to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in project management.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage large or complex projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Experience working with government agencies or in the health care industry.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience in managing virtual or telehealth projects.

Eligibility:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Compensation:

Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is outlined below.

Salary range: $60,000 - $73,000
