The Talent Acquisition team at Mecklenburg County is looking to add another exceptional Consultant to our team. In this role you will partner with key stakeholders, source top talent, and enhance the new hire experience. The TA Consultant is responsible for consulting with hiring managers to understand roles to be filled; reviewing and assessing both passive and non passive candidates; informing candidates of job duties and their status in the process , extending job offers and partnering with other Centers of Excellence within the HR department.

Essential Functions
  • Partner with appropriate management to determine position requirements, job specifications, and compensation guidelines
  • Provide comprehensive recruiting support to the recruiting team to ensure a high quality and professional candidate experience
  • Source open job requisitions and identifying potential candidates by using recruiting strategies including Career Builder, LinkedIn, and others
  • Identify potential candidates using intricate job board searches, user groups, candidate referrals, networking, and web sourcing
  • Work closely with Hiring Managers to schedule and follow up on candidate selection to maximize efficiency of the recruiting process
  • Consistently review and identify resumes for open and future positions
  • Advise management on organizing, preparing, or implementing recruiting or retention programs
  • Develop or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs
  • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities
  • Screen employment applications to ensure applicants meet the job requirements
  • Make hiring recommendations when appropriate
  • Conduct reference or background checks on job applicants and process pre-employment paperwork
  • Stay abreast of market conditions as they relate to candidate availability, compensation, benefits, and other competitive measures

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum of two years of Recruiting or Talent Acquisition experience

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration or related filed

Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted?: Yes

Preferred Qualifications
  • Current PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
