Summary
Collects and edits of GIS data and City owned infrastructure/assets for the required departments. Inputs collected data into database using GPS Equipment and ESRI AcrGIS software. Collects grade elevations for other City departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collects GPS point features related to City infrastructure
Assesses condition of City infrastructure such as signs, sewer manholes, drainage inlets, and Solid Waste containers. Locates missing or mis-mapped infrastructure information and field verifies infrastructure information
Inputs collected data into GIS database and responds to mapping requests as needed
Follows City financial policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Computer Aided Design, GIS or related field
One year experience in GIS

Preferred Qualifications

Work experience with ESRI ArcGIS software
Experience with GPS technology or survey work

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

Valid driver’s license
