Don t miss the opportunity to join a growing Building Automation Controls manufacturer who is looking for a Regional Sales Leader to join their growing southeast/south central team. This is a perfect opportunity for a self-starter who has experience as a Business Development Manager, National Account Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Territory Manager, Senior Sales Support Engineer, or Operations Manager who enjoys business development. Position is home-based/remote and you may live anywhere in the central or southeast regions if they have access to a major airport. Approximately 50% ground and air travel required.

Compensation commensurate with experience, with a base range of $115,000-$135,000, plus performance-based bonus up to 70% of salary.

In this exciting growth role, you will sell state of the art Building Automation products via integrator partners who provide their clients with open, secure, and scalable building automation solutions.

Essential duties include:

  • Prospect & qualify Systems Integrators for open territories
  • Direct or matrix management of a Sales Support Engineer
  • Train and coach the integrators sales force on selling and positioning building control solutions.
  • Participate in joint sales calls to end customers & engineering firms
  • Travel throughout assigned territory to develop business plans for each metro market
  • Assist contractors in preparing proposals, developing bid/backlogs, and local marketing initiatives
  • Represent company at trade shows and associations
  • Perform other duties assigned by Vice President of Sales

  • Is motivated and self-disciplined with ability to thrive in a remote, autonomous work environment.
  • Promotes Teamwork.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university OR 5 years related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 5 years sales or operational experience in Controls/HVAC contracting or channel sales environment, preferably with major competitor (s). Minimum 3 years experience in a business development and/or management role.

Must be able to travel via commercial transportation systems (air, rail, personal vehicle) and must be able to adapt to changing travel conditions using judgement for personal and company safety reasons.
