NaphCare is hiring an experienced Worker’s Compensation RN Case Manager to join our team at the Regional Corporate Office located in Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada 89169

This position will ensure a high quality of care is given to our employees to encourage wellness and an appropriate, timely return to work. This person will utilize clinical skills to evaluate the recovery needs of an injured employee, unite information obtained from the employer and medical provider, and ensure the treatment plan properly addresses the employee's needs while facilitating the return to work as soon as medically feasible.

Experience/Requirements:

  • 2 years of Nursing Experience
  • Bachelor's degree RN required.
  • Experience in occupational medicine or worker’s compensation required.
  • Experience working with HMOs desired.
  • Experience working with HMOs and TPAs desired.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and as there is constant contact with the employees and the medical providers.

Position Description:

  • Clinically evaluate the recovery needs of an injured employee after the initial assessment
  • Serve as point of contact and facilitate communication between employee, employee representative, employer, insurer, health care provider, and medical services organization.
  • Assist employees to return to work by working with the employee to focus on the improvement of their health and wellness and encourage employees to participate in the recovery plan
  • Work with employees via phone, in person, via email to assist with treatment.
  • Ensure employee receives high-quality of care and reduce recovery time to ensure a speedy and appropriate return to work.
  • Work independently of the insurance company but will provide information to the insurance adjuster regarding doctors’ visits and treatment authorizations.
  • Work with the employer to facilitate any necessary job modifications after returning to work.
  • Will proactively manage all active claims to assess for progress/response to treatment and to prevent lapses or delays in treatment.
  • Perform quarterly claim reviews with the insurance adjuster.
