We are looking for a retail store-level manager to lead our Pasadena showroom. As a Retail Leadership Associate with Room & Board , you'll contribute in guiding and leading the team in a way that creates an exceptional experience for our customers. You accomplish this through leading, mentoring and developing a team of high-performing design/sales professionals who are empowered and confident in their ability to provide design solutions to our customers.

Customers can look forward to an inspirational boutique experience tailored to helping them imagine Room & Board's products in their own home. You'll work in close partnership with the retail leadership team in our Los Angeles showroom and continue to grow our connection with customers.

You'll manage the 8,0000 sq. ft. showroom in a way that creates an exceptional experience for our customers by leading, mentoring and developing a team of 5+ design/sales professionals who are empowered and confident in their ability to provide design solutions to our customers within a non-commissioned environment. Your understanding of how our Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley customers live and shop will guide you as you leverage the tools, resources and our assortment to maximize the selling floor to meet our customers' needs. You weave your passion for Room & Board's design aesthetic into the showroom experience. You'll create meaningful store events that provide opportunities to deepen connections with existing customers as well as reach new customers to grow our business.

In addition you will be responsible for the following:
You'll surround yourself with the right people and support our commitment to hiring top talent that fits our culture. You'll focus on individual and collective development of staff members supporting experiences that enrich and support their personal and professional growth.
You'll establish clear expectations, provide timely and respectful feedback and explore meaningful ways to recognize staff members. You'll be a brand champion and build trust with the team through transparent communication, explaining the whys behind the decisions that we make and the benefits of those decisions and invite feedback.
You'll be involved in the development of a strategic business plan that adjusts to the changing needs of the Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley market. You'll play a role in the planning process, forecasting market sales, staffing and salary plans, as well as all controllable expenses.
You'll be a part of a collaborative environment where meaningful relationships and partnerships matter. As an advocate for the showroom you will build strong relationships with partners outside your four walls, including a strong connection to our LA showroom.
You'll surround yourself with beautifully designed American craftsmanship, sustainable practices and designs with a story you'll be proud to share with our customers to help them create meaningful homes and beautiful spaces.

Your Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday with reasonable flexibility to support the needs of the business and retail store hours.

Our showroom hours are Monday-Saturday 11am-7pm, Sunday 11am-6pm.

Additional position requirements and qualifications:
5+ years of leadership experience leading high functioning teams in a customer-centric, fashion/design savvy retail environment and have a passion for design and engaging with the team and customers on the showroom floor.
You bring exceptional communication skills, demonstrated confidence, detail and organization, and believe that your success is tied to the growth and development of the team you lead.
