Job Description
What you get to do:
You’ll be responsible for performing all general maintenance of rides in order to provide a safe environment for guests and team members alike. We’re looking to you to make sure our rides are good to go! You will:
- Ensures excellent customer service by responding to customer requirements, expectations and needs
- Performs daily inspections on rides, attractions, elevators and disassembles motors and their controls
- Works on computer controlled equipment
- Fills out inspection and work order forms and cleans ride areas
- Uses, stores and disposes paint, oil, solvents and other chemicals
- Uses micrometer, calipers, volt ohmmeters and other precise measuring devices
- Works on and around high pressure hydraulic systems
- Maintains and repairs gears, gearboxes and gear motors
- Works with PLC programmable controllers
- Disassembles and overhauls hydraulic power units, accumulators, and associated system controls
- Accurate and timely documentation of green tagging, corrective action reports (red tagging), logbooks, daily inspection sheets, scheduled maintenance services.
- Works on computer-controlled equipment
- Works with low voltage electrical systems
- Other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- At least 18 years of age
- A minimum of 3 years related experience
- 4 years previous professional mechanic
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to climb and work at heights up to 300 feet for long periods of time
- Have and maintain a valid California driver's license; out of state residents, active military, their dependents and students, must have a valid driver’s license from their state of residency and provide a copy of the DMV report
- Able to complete the Company Vehicle Driver Training class and and obtain a SWC driver's license
- Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or language and individuals with special needs
- Know proper use of hand tools
- Able to work on compressors, air dryers, pneumatic valves, controls and other pneumatic systems
- Have basic computer knowledge
- Able to work with equipment at high elevations
- Able to pass a maintenance certification exam on all rides that are maintained; must be able to pass an annual quality assurance examination or audit
- Strong mathematical skill; add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos; must be able to write simple correspondence
- Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Able to handle multiple tasks in a fast -paced work environment
- Able to regularly stand, sit, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, feel, see, talk, hear, taste, smell and reach with hands and arms
- Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl and crouch
- Have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Able to work outdoors under all weather conditions
- Able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
Compensation: 35.00 USD Hourly
